This is not a skimpy bottom, but it does sit at or just below the hips for most ladies. I like the slightly wider waistband with the frilled décor because it stays in place without looking bulky. This gives great rear coverage. If aren't curvy in the hips or rear, and fall between sizes, get the smaller size so that these hug well and stay in place for you!
