Body & Breast Types

Knowing your breast and body type is an essential component to getting a correct fit. Find out which types you are!

Spherical

The round breast shape is exactly what it sounds like. They are circular in form and have mass equally at the top and bottom. They also sit higher on the torso and keep a lifted shape even when not wearing a bra.

Bell

The bell-shaped breast is also sometimes referred to as pendulous. It is characterized as being long, heavy, and fuller towards the bottom, with not as much mass at the top of the brea.

Athletic

The athletic breast shape is smaller, with little fatty tissue, and usually accompanied by a lean or more muscular frame.

Slender

The slender breast shape is small and has very little mass at the top or bottom. It is sometimes described as being flat. The nipples are usually pointing downward. This breast shape is common for women who have nursed, lost a significant amount of weight, or are of a mature age.

Relaxed

The relaxed breast shape is like the slender breast shape but larger. It has a pendulous, flat appearance with downward-facing nipples. This breast shape is common for women who have nursed, lost a significant amount of weight, or are of a mature age.

Sloped

The sloped breast shape is small and has a pointed appearance, described as looking like a ski slope. There is very little mass at the top of the breasts, but they’re fuller at the bottom, though not as much as bell-shaped breasts.

East West

The East-West breast shape is like the sloped shape, but each breast points outward in opposite directions. This shape can be of any size, and there’s often a fair amount of space in the middle between each breast.

Teardrop

Teardrop breasts are characterized by being slightly sloping and narrow on the top and more full and rounded on the bottom. This shape is more common in smaller and medium bust sizes.

Asymmetric

Asymmetrical breasts are those where one breast is larger than the other. It's very common to have a slight difference in size between breasts, but asymmetrical breasts have a significant size difference of at least one cup size or more.

Mastectomy

The mastectomy breast shape is where one or both breasts have been removed or partially removed. These breasts require specially trained fitters, specialty bras, and breast forms.

Augmented

Augmented breasts are ones that have had surgical implants added to increase breast volume. The implants are often firm and round and tend to lack the same softness and feel as natural breasts. They also tend to stay lifted when your bra is off.

Side-Set

Side-Set breasts are attached off to the side of the torso rather than the middle. There is a larger amount of space between the two breasts in the middle. The breasts typically do not touch.

The Grippa Glass - Hourglass

This shape is characterized by an upper torso and hips that are the same (or very close) in size, with a much more narrow waist. There is usually about a ten-inch difference between the waist and the chest and hips.

The Martini Glass - Inverted Triangle

This shape is characterized by an upper torso that is much wider than the waist and hips, which are normally of similar size. Think of a competitive swimmer who's developed broad shoulders, but the rest of the torso is slim. That is a good example of this body shape.

The Tulip Glass- Triangle

This is commonly referred to as a pear shape. This body shape is characterized by a smaller upper body and waist and very wide hips.

The Highball Glass - Rectangle

This body shape has the same, or very close, measurements between the upper torso, waist, and hips.

The Wobble Glass- Diamond

This shape is characterized by someone with a smaller upper torso, a large waist, and small hips. It is an inverse hourglass. This person has a large tummy, but the other parts of their body are proportional.

The Mason Jar - Round

The Mason Jar shape has a large waist with a tummy that is firm and fuller and is positioned higher up towards the chest. The upper torso and hips are the same measurement as the waist. Often, people with this body type have smaller to medium-sized breasts.
