The cups are double-lined and thick enough to provide coverage and support when wearing your correct size, but this style will also accommodate 1-2 cup sizes larger if you're just outside the size range. The band is firm enough to provide support, but not uncomfortable in the least. Overall, this bra runs true to size, and I wouldn't recommend adjusting anything for the best fit.
